Dear Host Family,
My name is Cristiane and I am looking for a sweet family.
I am 22. I was born in Brazil but in 1996, when I was 10 I left Brazil to live in France because my mother married a French. I went to a French University to study law issues but after 1 year I realized that it was not what I really wanted to do so I left my university and now I pretend to do a course of wedding planner by correspondence and later to have my own society of wedding planners.
I want to become an au pair because it seems to be the perfect way for me to discover a new country and a new culture, to meet new people, learn to speak English fluently, and all of that in doing what I really enjoy to do: taking care of children!
I chose the United States because I love the American way of life, their mentality and because in USA there are a lot of things to discover. So I am very excited to go there and meet my new family. I live in Paris and I will be very happy to share with your family all the extraordinary things about this beautiful
city.
I live there with my mother, Elizabeth who works in a restaurant, my stepfather, Jean-Yves a commercial agent, and my two little sisters, Karen who is 17 and Chrislaure who is 11. I also have two dogs: Roucky and Princess.
I am very close to my family, we are very united and we love to spend time together, so family values are very important for me and I will treat your family with a lot of love and respect.
All my family and friends support me in my choice to live in USA for a year as an au pair because they agree with me to say that it will be a great experience and a very good opportunity for me.
About my personality, I think I am kind of warm-hearted young girl who does not like loliness. I am very patient, caring, calm, creative and full of love to give to your kids.
I am quite family-oriented as I do the best to gather all of others. I am open-minded and friendly, sociable and I enjoy spending time in family. I like to do a lot of things and enjoy life as much as possible!
I can be a little bit shy sometimes when I meet new people but it is just at the beginning.
I really hope that you will discover my personality by yourself.
About my hobbies and my pastime, I love to go to the cinema, to spend time with fiends, to go to restaurants. I also love music, to dance, I love very much swimming and of course I love shopping.
I started to be a childcare when I was 16 for a family with twins, a boy and a girl, named Camille and Thomas they were 4 at the time and I still take care of them frequently and i also took care of a little girl named Pernelle and it last 3 years. My schedules icluded to bring her back from school and to do some activities with her till the time to go to bed. Since last year, I take care of a little girl named Charlotte very often, she is only 2 now. I am responsible for feeding them, bathing and putting them in bed.
I also took care of a girl who was 9. I did a lot of activities with her, for example, we did a lot of cooking (mostly cakes) and I helped her everyday with her homework.
I took care of other kids but less regularly.
I have a strong background and a great connection with kids. In a general way, I like to make children realise things by themselves like performances or doing arts and crafts with them, go to the playground, to the swimming pool, or to the museum. I really enjoy creating new activities for them and having simple moments with them like when I read them stories.
You can be sure that I will love your children as if they were my brothers or sisters. I sincerely like children and I will do my best to be a good au pair.
